GiST invites original research on bilingual education and English language teaching in diverse contexts. We welcome both theoretical and practical contributions that promote inclusive and transformative approaches to bilingualism.

Topics of interest include, though are not limited to:

  • Peacebuilding and conflict transformation in EFL and bilingual education
  • Safe and caring learning spaces in EFL language classrooms
  • Affects, emotions, and wellbeing in EFL learning
  • Experiential and place-based EFL language learning

Empirical studies, critical perspectives, and pedagogical innovations are particularly encouraged.

N 32: March 30, 2026

N 33: Sept 30, 2026

Types of Articles

Scientific or technological research article: Empirical research with sections like abstract, literature review, methodology, results, and conclusions.

Reflective Article: Analytical or interpretive work with critical insight into educational issues, grounded in theory and/or experience.

Review Article: Integration of published and unpublished research (min. 50 references) to outline development trends.

Book Review: Critical review of academic books, discussing methodology, contribution, and relevance in the field.
