The AI Paradox in Teacher Education: When Tools Empower, Do They Erase Expertise?

Alireza Karbalaei is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language Education at Farhangian Teacher Training University, Iran. He holds a PhD in TEFL/Applied Linguistics. His research interests encompass teacher cognition, professional development, course design, learning strategies, and reflective practice in EFL teacher education, with a recent focus on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching contexts. Dr. Karbalaei has authored more than 70 papers published in various international journals.
