Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia of a finger

We report a case of an intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia, or Masson’s tumor,
a rare benign vascular tumor, located at the volar side of the distal phalanx of the thumb
of a 60-year-old man. The diagnosis was made after the histological study because the
magnetic resonance imaging studies were inconclusive. While the prognosis is excellent,
differentiation from other causes that require more extensive in terventions is essential.
