Apendizaje cooperativo por proyectos para mejorar las habilidades de lectura

Resumen

Este artículo reporta una investigación acción sobre el aprendizaje cooperativo por proyectos para estudiantes de ingeniería de una universidad pública. El estudio pretendía mejorar las habilidades de lectura a través de la implementación de cuatro proyectos cooperativos implementados durante las clases de inglés. Una encuesta, entrevista grupal y el análisis documental fueron utilizados como instrumentos de investigación. Los resultados sugieren que los estudiantes mejoraron significativamente sus habilidades de lectura trabajando cooperativamente. Así mismo las conclusiones resaltan que el aprendizaje cooperativo mejora las habilidades como liderazgo, toma de decisiones, la comunicación y la solución de problemas. Adicionalmente mejora la participación motivación y logro de objetivos en su proceso de aprendizaje del idioma inglés.

Marian Lissett Olaya, Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia

holds a B.A in Foreign Languages from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. She also holds a M.A in English Language Teaching for Self-directed Learning from Universidad de La Sabana. She has been an English Language teacher for twelve in which she has gained a lot of experience teaching English for engineering programs. Her research experience is focused on how reflective teaching strategies fosters students’ language learning, atutonomy, self centered and cooperative learning. she is currently a language teacher at UPTC in the city of Sogamoso. 

 

Gladys Marta Elena González-González, Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia

Licenciada en Lenguas Extranjeras de la Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC), Especialista en Gerencia Educacional de la misma Universidad y Magister en Educación con énfasis en didáctica de las Lenguas Extranjeras de la Universidad Libre. Con destacada experiencia en la enseñanza de Lenguas Extranjeras, en Educación Superior, actualmente docente de tiempo completo del Instituto Internacional de Idiomas de la Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia en donde ha llevado investigaciones sobre CLIL, aprendizaje cooperativo y motivación intrínseca.
